Project#1: HFE – HUB Front End (Enterprise Integration) development for Canada

Client HSBC Bank Canada

Environment WSBCC, DB2 (Unix), Websphere, AS400 (RPGLE, CLLE)

Description: HUB (Hong Kong Universal Banking System) is the core banking system installed in HSBC banks all over the world (in 81 countries). HFE is the Web Front end to this system. HFE is a 3 tier J2EE system with one tier each in AS400, UNIX and Java (WSBCC).

The Core HFE system has to be modified for the Local requirements of the Canadian Users. This includes End to end development involving Java Front end and AS400 Back end development.

Description: The HUB system was modified to incorporate Banking products which can cater to the Islamic customers. The conventional banking, interest calculation, etc were modified to conform to Sharia’h principles.

Task Involved End to end development from Requirement Analysis till User Testing, and Pilot Implementation in Saudi Arabia.

Description: Impact is an integrated, online securities trading system that offers the industry's most comprehensive support for fixed-income trading and processing. The impact system provides leading global financial institutions with trade capture and processing, as well as settlement and clearing functions for domestic and foreign fixed-income instruments. Impact is also a multi-currency and multi-entity system that provides real-time position and balance information, as well as detailed accounting, financing, and repo functionality.

Role: Programmer

Development:

· Impact system has to be enhanced to reflect the industry initiatives in the Security Trading Business. Specification Analysis documents had to be prepared as part of system analysis. Modules are written using RPG or CL to accomplish the required task.

Description: Kalculate is a Financial Accounting and Inventory management package for Linux desktops. It provides graphical interface for various accounting and Inventory management functionalities. Fine tuned for medium size enterprises and personal use, Kalculate is network enabled and highly configurable. Postgresql and IBM DB2 are supported as back end.

Description: This software handles information streamlining right from bills, job management to profit and loss for rice mills. It has graphical interface for bill creation, inventory management and Payroll. A centralized database was maintained on the server. Data entry, report generation and administration can be done from terminals connected to the server.
